Most training apps are a very good list of workouts.
The tracker is the engine. The Legacy is the product.
A chapter is a real season of your life.
It has a beginning, a purpose, and an end. Not a week. Not a streak. "Building Your Foundation," "Coming Back From Injury," "The Year I Got Serious." You name it. You decide when it closes.
Every workout, honor, record, photo and goal goes into the chapter you're writing — not into a feed.
Sealed.
You close it, write down what it meant, and it locks. No other training app can do this, because no other training app thinks your past is worth protecting.
History can be added to. It cannot be rewritten.
A squad is a handful of people, not an audience.
The two things the rest of the category offers are a public feed of strangers' workouts, or a group that punishes you when you miss. Both are engagement mechanics. Neither is what training with people actually feels like.
The people who already know what you're working on.
A streak punishes you for living. Rank just describes who you've become.
Seven families that measure years, not weeks. No XP, no points, no leaderboard. Stop for a year, come back, and you are still exactly what you earned.
Foundation
I've started.
Builder
I'm building habits.
Craftsman
I know how to train.
Architect
I'm shaping my development.
Established
I've built something real.
Legend
My journey has become a meaningful story.
Legacy
I repeatedly become the person I intend to become.
Four things this app will never do.
Not policies we could quietly change next quarter. Constraints the app is built on.
None of that matters if the training app isn't good.
So it's good. A rest timer that keeps running when you leave the app, autosave that survives losing signal mid-workout, and records caught as you lift.
The obvious questions
I already use another app.
Run both for a couple of weeks. The program builder takes your existing program today, so you're not starting over to try it — and if you leave, nothing you logged here gets held hostage.
Isn't "no comparison" bad for motivation?
Comparison is rented motivation. It works until the streak breaks or the leaderboard demoralises you, and then the app gets deleted. We're not optimising for day-one usage; we're optimising for whether you still want this in year five.
Is my data private?
Yes, by default. Per-section visibility controls, no public profiles, and row-level security on every table. Nothing about you is discoverable by a stranger.
What if I stop for a while?
Nothing happens. Your rank doesn't fall, your chapter doesn't fail, and the app doesn't send you a guilt notification. Come back and keep going.
Which phone do I need?
iPhone. Forge Legacy is an iOS app. Android isn't ready yet, and we'd rather say so.
Does it track calories?
No, and it isn't going to. Nutrition is a different product. This one does training and what training builds.
How is it built?
162 database migrations, security policies on every table, 2,426 automated tests, and a live backend. A real application, not a prototype.
Forge Legacy is not helping you win today.
It's helping you become someone you're proud of ten years from now.
